With their four-digit production figures, they are all rare, the special eight-cylinder models with the M-100 V8 engine of the sixties and seventies.
However, this is probably the first time ever that these three powerful representatives of cutting-edge limousine technology have appeared together at an auction:
The Mercedes-Benz 600 once transported opera singers, the Pope and many other celebrities. It set technological standards and impressed with the highest level of comfort.
The Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 used the same engine as the Mercedes-Benz 600 but, thanks to its lower weight, offered genuine super sports car performance that even top-class Italians had to measure up to.
And the Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL 6.9 combined the even greater power of the eight-cylinder engine with contemporary safety and hydropneumatics.
All three are historically interesting and actually belong in every proper Mercedes collection.
The auction on November 28, 2015 is therefore eagerly awaited. Vehicles can still be registered and consigned. The Oldtimer Gallery team is eagerly awaiting suggestions.
