The Bosch Hockenheim Historic - The Jim Clark Revival from April 10 to 12, 2015 is fully booked again this year. In addition to nine races, spectators can expect a unique variety of racing cars from all eras on Europe's racetracks. An interesting Jim Clark exhibition awaits visitors next to the track.
Sports and touring cars as well as formula classics strongly represented
The racing versions of sporty touring cars familiar from the everyday street scene have always fascinated motorsport fans. The period between 1972 and 1985 was the glory days of touring car racing. During the Bosch Hockenheim Historic, the DRM Classic Cup takes you back to this time, when cars with up to 700 hp dominated the races.
The Special Touring Car Trophy has also been an integral part of the German motorsport scene since 1986. The Bosch Hockenheim Historic offers a wide range of classes for touring cars and GT vehicles.
The Dutch Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge (YTCC), for cars built before 1990, also promises a good show for spectators at the Hockenheimring. A total of fourteen racing series are planned with plenty of racing action and a wide range of classic and modern classics.
50 years on - Jim Clark exhibition
The Bosch Hockenheim Historic and the Jim Clark exhibition are all about the dream year 1965 of Jim Clark and Team Lotus exactly 50 years ago. In this year, he not only became Formula 1 World Champion for the second time, but also won the legendary Indy 500 in the USA.
Under the motto "50 years on", the Jim Clark exhibition 2015 offers a small but fine look back at the year 1965. Jim Clark's winning car at the Dutch GP, the Lotus 33 R9 F1, and a Lotus 35 F2, also from 1965, fit in with the anniversary. A "Jim Clark Lotus 29 IndyGoKart" from 1964 can also be admired. This was produced in a small series to mark Ford's entry into Indy in 1963. Of course, the Indy victory and the world championship title are omnipresent with pictures, models and personal Jim Clark exhibits.
Historic paddock
In addition to the track, the historic paddock will provide nostalgia away from the track. Modern vehicles will be banned from the entire area behind the pit lane up to the pre-start area. In addition, a meeting of historic transporters of racing cars and historic service cars, of which there are only a few left, will take place again this year.
