Over 300 different racing and sports cars will be guests at the 3rd GP Mutschellen on Sunday, May 4, 2014. After a year's break, the expert audience and fans of beautiful cars and engines will once again be offered an interesting overview of almost 100 years of racing history.
A run-out for the old sheet metal
Only rarely in Switzerland is such a high-caliber and broad field of participants of historic motorsport equipment presented as at the GP Mutschellen. What is often only seen in museums is moved on the clearly laid out track from Rudolfstetten to Friedlisberg, and not at a slow pace.
At last, "the old sheet metal", as collectors and enthusiasts like to call it, is given free rein. The old engines are allowed to rev and finally be challenged again. The superchargers of the pre-war racers are allowed to sing their beautiful song, and the audience is up close and personal with all their senses. You can see, hear and smell the racing cars and can also touch and photograph them. Or simply enjoy them: in the car park, on the track or after crossing the finish line on the Friedlisberg.
Proven concept
The participants will drive the 1.6 km long, interesting, winding mountain course four times in seven racing fields, while two on-course speakers provide interesting details and background information on the vehicles and their drivers.
The registration deadline for drivers/vehicles expired in February.
Further information can be found on the organizer's website.
A comprehensive report on the GP Mutschellen 2012 can of course be found on Zwischengas.
