In addition to the already rare production sports cars of the Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato and Super Sport Zagato types, Elio Zagato also built a small number of "preparata" models optimized for racing and two factory racing cars between 1960 and 1962. These were lighter and, thanks to increased performance, also faster and won many a class victory at events such as the Targa Florio and the Mille Miglia Rally. From 1959 to 1965, Touring produced the Lancia Flaminia as an attractive coupé. The V6 engine under the hood gave the car sporty performance.
