Jürgen Bachmann has over 40 years of professional experience as a car mechanic. As a specialist, he looks after Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles at Werner Haas Automobile GmbH in Augsburg. In addition to his daily business as workshop manager of the Jaguar department at the dealership, he works hand in hand with his three mechatronics technicians specializing in classic cars and is therefore also responsible for the numerous automotive treasures of the Jaguar and Land Rover dealership's customers. In a separate hall, he and his team service, repair or restore around 60 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles a year. "I've known many of these vehicles for decades," says Jürgen Bachmann, who currently has a 1988 Jaguar XJ-S with a V12 engine on the lift. "I personally converted this car immediately after our customer bought it new." Back then, different headlights, a discreet spoiler kit and a lowered suspension were installed. There were also "little things", such as a different headliner and leather trim on the steering wheel cover.
