Summary
The man was an absolute stroke of luck for any team boss: calm, confident, easy to look after, loyal, incredibly fast and not even a material murderer. We are talking about Dieter Glemser from Warmbronn near Leonberg. The former Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Ford works driver celebrates his 80th birthday on June 28, 2018. He is definitely worth looking back on, which Rainer Braun does in detail in this portrait.

First, the diminutive Böhringer drove the 300 wildly across the medium-fast Brünnchen right-hand bend several times with one front wheel in the air. Then the same car presented a completely different picture - Glemser now completed his training laps calmly and unspectacularly. A spectator next to me whispered to his companion: "My God, he's so slow now, the other one was much faster".
