On May 22, 2022, "Auction-Auto" will be auctioning off a total of 120 cars and motorcycles in Lausanne. The vehicles come from around 100 private owners and cover a spectrum from 1922 (Buick Touring Phaeton) to 2013 (Nissan GT-R). The estimated prices range between 2000 and 125,000 francs.
Rarities and one-offs
Among the cars on offer are some rarities such as a 1930 Avon Standard Six Special, which was designed and built by the Jensen brothers before they founded their own car company. Based on the long chassis with a six-cylinder engine, only two of these cars were produced. The first has been in the Lillehammer City Museum for 50 years. The second, which is now for sale, has been in the possession of a collector from Geneva since 1992.
Even rarer is the BMW 635 CSi Baur: the prototype of a "safety convertible" was created in 1981 by the Stuttgart coachbuilder on the basis of a new car, was then sent to BMW for testing, but remained a one-off.
AEAT built four of the convertible saloon based on the Citroën DS 21 between 1962 and 1970; one of them for President Charles de Gaulle, two others for the reporters at the Tour de France.
Other cars on offer include an Amilcar C3-CS with aluminum bodywork, one of only 32 left-hand drive Bentley Mark VIs and a Mercedes-Benz 220 SE Coupé (W 128), of which only 830 were built.
Vehicle viewings in Hall 36 of the Palais de Beaulieu Congress Center in Lausanne will be possible on Saturday, 21 May 2022, and Sunday, 22 May 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. The public auction will begin on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 14:00.
Further information and a complete list of all vehicles, including the estimated price, will be available on auction-auto.ch from Monday, May 16, 2022
