After "The I.C.E." literally sank in 2024, the frozen Lake St. Moritz will serve as the usual venue and race track for the unconventional but impressive, extraordinary and certainly the coldest Concours d'Elégance in 2025.
In keeping with the first snowfall in St. Moritz after the warm summer, The I.C.E. announces the categories for next year's beauty competition.
In the "Barchettas on the lake" category, the "small boats" can also show themselves on the frozen lake. Journalist Giovanni Canestrini, inventor of this nickname for the Ferrari 166, could hardly have imagined that one day he would actually see the most spectacular open two-seaters of the 1950s racing on the water.
Cars from the fifties, sixties and seventies from the golden age of formula motorsport compete in the "Open Wheels" category.
The most magnificent designs of the automobiles, which offered a glimpse of creations and technologies of the future, can be seen in the "Concept Cars & One Offs" category.
The "Icons on Wheels" category brings together the iconic vehicles of the 20th century and celebrates the true queens on four wheels in St. Moritz.
And finally, for the second time there will be the "Racing Legends" category, in which historic racing cars will be judged on the one hand for their elegant design, but mainly for their racing history.
Interested parties will have to wait for a list of all participating vehicles. Registration for participation in the international concours is now open here .
Here's to a magical experience in the winter landscape full of automotive surprises on the weekend of February 21 and 22, 2025.
