On September 7, 2024, the Fränkische Schweiz Motorsport Club held the 15th ADAC Oldtimer Drive with special stages for vintage and classic cars. Historic vehicles built up to 1994 and youngtimers from 1995 to 2004 were admitted. The mayor of Ebermannstadt was able to send nine motorcycles, two motorcycles with sidecars and 61 cars every minute on the 144 km route through the districts of Bamberg and Forchheim.
The entrance and exit to the lunch stop in Memmelsdorf was accompanied by the samba rhythms of a samba group - much to the delight of the spectators and participants.
Along the very scenic route, seven special stages awaited the participants, which required the teams to have good control of their own vehicles.
After crossing the finish line, the placings in the classes were determined and presented at an award ceremony in the Wiesent Garden. There were numerous trophies and special prizes to be won by the winners of the individual classes, the overall winners of the motorcycles and cars and the youngest participants. The overall victory went to the team with the Ford Model A from 1929.
The event ran smoothly and is scheduled to take place again in two years' time. So this year's teams and people who would like to take part can already look forward to it.
