The 28th Planai Classic will take place from January 9 to 11, 2025. On the first day, the participants will be up in the air, as the road leads up to an altitude of 1700 meters. After the ascent via Ramsau and the Dachstein mountain stage on the aforementioned snow-covered road, the participants warm up again at the opening evening in the Sporthotel Royer in Schladming.
The route on Friday, January 10, leads through the Schladming-Dachstein region. On the way to Schladming, the participants will complete exciting special stages and face another Dachstein mountain classification. Afterwards, the field will make a pit stop on the main square before setting off on the final stage.
This includes the Night Challenge at the harness racing track in Gröbming, where the old carburetor engines fight their way through the icy darkness and their muffled rumble roars through the night. The second day ends with the evening event in the "Häuserl im Wald".
The final day on Saturday, January 11, starts with the special stage at the Niederöblarn Alpine airfield. After a lunch break at the Imlauer Hotel "Schloss Pichlarn", the traditional drive on the Planai mountain road - the highlight of the Planai-Classic - is on the program. The award ceremony takes place afterwards in the Hohenhaus Tenne.
The registration deadline for the 28th Planai-Classic is November 15, 2024, new historic vehicles up to and including 1976 are permitted. Click here to register.
