Around 300 historic racing and sports cars (from Abarth to Volkswagen, from Bugatti to Ferrari), motorcycles and sidecar teams will be competing on the legendary race track between Biel and Neuchâtel from August 15 to 17.
For one weekend, Lignières Historique brings back the history and stories that have made this circuit the Mecca of Swiss motorsport for decades.
Legends you can touch
There will be racing on the track with historic racing and sports cars, motorcycles and sidecar sidecars, with famous drivers such as three-time Le Mans winner Marcel Fässler, Fredy Barth, Yann Zimmer, Philippe Camandona, Max F. Welti, Rolf Biland & Kurt Waltisperg, Bruno Kneubühler, Rolf Blatter and many other well-known greats from the world of motorsport. The great thing for spectators is that the entire paddock is open and accessible to all.
Real races
Lignières Historique is an exceptional event, because nowhere else in Switzerland can real races be held on a circuit.
And the fact that Marcel Fässler also takes the wheel of a historic formula car and drives along makes the racing spectacle even more worth seeing.
The range of vehicles leaves little to be desired in terms of eras, makes and types. Seeing a Bugatti race, watching Ferrari sports cars in dynamic motion - the past is brought back to life here.
A racing festival for the whole family
A Concours d'Elégance, a car/moto and parts market, the first Swiss Energy Grand Prix, an auction, a historic drive from Bern to Lignières, an open-air cinema and lots of history: Lignières Historique offers a broad program that goes far beyond the spectacle on the race track.
Marketplace for clubs, classic and vintage cars, dealers and private individuals
With the first Swiss Classic Jumble, Lignières Historique is taking up a great tradition that is particularly well known in England. Clubs, dealers and private individuals can trade and swap, buy and sell on the marketplace in the "green" - and take part in the auction on Saturday evening. Vehicles can be consigned at any time.
Abarth on and off the racetrack
The Abarth vehicles on display are likely to generate a lot of interest. In addition to the historic Abarth 695, Abarth is also taking the opportunity to show the modern version in its best light. Abarth is also providing a YouTube live stream where you can follow parts of the event. Highly recommended!
Tickets and camping sites in advance
Those who buy their tickets for the historic Racing Festival in advance will benefit threefold: free parking, free program booklet and a drinks voucher. In addition, places in the Racing Camp can now be reserved. TCS members save five francs when they show their membership card at the box office.
