Around 70,000 classic cars lie dormant in the garages of Swiss classic car owners. Many of these vehicles are hardly ever driven or have not been redeemed. There is often not enough time to take the beautiful cars to the garage for an annual check-up. And every classic car owner knows that a long period of standing is not good for the car.
Mobile classic car care and maintenance
The great demand from classic car owners from all over Switzerland for mobile care at the vehicle's location has led to the creation of an organization at a national level to provide valuable historic and exclusive automobiles with the annual care they need. Ensured operational readiness and value retention are the mission of this care organization. The classic car specialist and trainer of Swiss vehicle restorers, Marcel A. Widler (founder and owner of Goodtimer and the Oldtimer Center Eastern Switzerland) has launched the project "Olditex™ - the mobile classic car care".
A Spitex-like organization was founded under this name in the summer of 2021, which takes care of classic cars for vehicle owners throughout Switzerland. Trained and qualified classic car specialists visit the respective vehicle owner and subject their classic car to the desired and required service.
This includes an overall technical inspection using a checklist and the option of a test drive with the U-plate to ensure that the vehicle is ready for operation and to prevent damage while stationary. If necessary, the vehicles are transferred to our own regional workshop or to a repair center of the customer's choice.

Since 2021, Motorworld in Kemptthal has been the customer and training center of Olditex™, which is a company of Patent Werkstatt GmbH based in Kemptthal.
To date, the Olditex™ care organization with specialist companies has been operating at the Kindhausen (ZH), Grosswangen (LU) and Giubiasco (TI) sites. By the end of 2026, a total of 15 satellites will sufficiently serve the classic car country of Switzerland to be able to cover some of the classic car collections with a total of 26 different and individually expandable care programs
