Not everything went perfectly in the summer of 2015, when the last Solitude Revival took place. Some participants were rightly dissatisfied because they hardly got to ride. Lessons were learned from the mistakes, and a new and powerful organization is preparing the next Solutude Revival from 21 to 23 July 2017.
Improved track safety, a tighter schedule and a renewed race management team should ensure that the riders get to ride and the spectators have plenty to see. The effort involved in making the over eleven-kilometer-long natural race track fit for fast demonstration rides is enormous and is quickly underestimated. Well over 100 marshals watch over every bend and prevent accidents and consequential damage. In 2017, the paddock will once again be set up on the ADAC grounds.
Seven racing fields - formula cars, sports cars/prototypes, GT cars, motorcycles and sidecars - will provide an insight into the long tradition of the former race track near Stuttgart from nine in the morning until 18:00 in the evening.
In the past, over 400,000 visitors attended the big motorcycle and car races at Solitude; there won't be quite as many in 2017, but the organizers are hoping for full stands and the best weather conditions.
