If anyone has a dream car garage, it's Peter Klutt. And when it goes under the hammer at Gooding & Co in Pebble Beach on August 15 and 16, 2015, collectors around the world will be bidding to get their hands on one of the vehicles on offer with no reserve price.
Ferrari Dino 206 SP and Shelby Cobra 427
The two sports cars Ferrari Dino 206 SP from 1967 and the Ford Shelby Cobra 427 from 1966 will certainly be hotly contested at the auction. With estimated prices of 2.6 to 3.0 million USD for the Dino and 1.2 to 1.4 million USd for the Cobra, however, expectations are already set at lofty heights.
The Ferrari 275 GTB/4 from 1967 with just 10,000 miles also comes from the same collection. The Pebble Beach participant is likely to set a new price record.
Increasingly expensive Porsche 959s
Only recently, Porsche 959s were being traded for around half a million, but now a comfort version from 1988 has been estimated by Gooding at USD 1.6 to 1.8 million.
This makes a 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk II FHC look downright cheap if the expected USD 300,000 to 400,000 is actually offered.
You can already be sure that the dollars will flow abundantly again on August 15/16, 2015. You can find out more about the auction on the Gooding & Co. website.
