Preview (beginning of the article)
As always, Gooding closed the Pebble Beach auction week and offered 129 cars worth almost USD 150 million (EUR 133 million, CHF 140 million) on August 15 and 16, 2015. With 17 pre-war vehicles and 12 neo-classics (post-1995), cars from the post-war period (28x), the 1960s (42x) and the 1970s (20x) dominated Gooding. The largest brand contingent at Gooding came from Ferrari with 29 sports and racing cars, more than a fifth in total. This was followed by Porsche with 22 lots and Mercedes-Benz with 12. All other manufacturers were represented no more than five times, making a total of 36 brands.
