The 40th edition of Auto e Moto d'Epoca from 26 to 29 October 2023 will open a new chapter in the history of the classic car show, as it will be the first to be held at the Bologna Exhibition Centre. Both the facilities and the connections offered by the Bologna exhibition center are attractive to European enthusiasts and exhibitors from all over Europe. Every year, Auto e Moto d'Epoca attracts visitors from 45 countries around the world, making it a highly regarded event in the international calendar and one of the most important classic car fairs in Europe.
Twice as much space
The 2023 edition represents a turning point that will allow the Italian classic car world to realize its full potential. In front of the new BolognaFiere backdrop, in addition to over 14,500 covered parking spaces for visitors and exhibitors, the classic car fair will double the available exhibition areas to a total of 235,000 square meters, with 11 halls and 4 entrances.
An important novelty this year is the introduction of an entire hall, Hall 21, dedicated exclusively to vintage motorcycles, a separate "fair within the fair".
The first motorcycle fair
The new hall dedicated entirely to vintage motorcycles is one of the great novelties of this edition, with 15,000 square meters of exhibition space. The aim of the motorcycle fair is to show motorcycle enthusiasts a wealth of culture that they have never seen before in such a unified form.
On display will be a motorcycle from the racing world of the Honda brand, which will be exhibited as a world premiere with the participation of the multi-award-winning Lucio Cecchinello Racing Team, as well as the historic 750 Honda K0. A special focus will be on the history of BMW Motorrad to mark the brand's 100th anniversary.
There will also be various models from the important Battilani collection from Imola, one of the most prestigious in Italy in terms of the quality and number of its motorcycles (300) and in particular thanks to the Italian examples from the early days up to the 1940s.
Unexpectedly many bookings from all over Europe
The bookings from exhibitors and dealers, especially from abroad, exceeded all expectations and led to the need to expand the already planned halls with two additional ones.
The sensational response of the professionals was favored by the participation and promotion of Auto e Moto d'Epoca on the occasion of the major European classic car fairs, as well as by intense international communication.
Many collector's items
The 90th anniversary celebration of the Mauto Collection, the National Automobile Museum, is expected to take place, with the presence of other important European museum institutions that will announce their participation after the summer.
The classic car clubs and registers will also be well represented, all with cars and motorcycles that have turned the history of engines into a treasure to be treasured.
The International Touring Superleggera Register, for example, is exhibiting one of the world's first road-going Ferraris: the Berlinetta 195 LM Coupé Superleggera, the same car in which Conte Giannino Marzotto won the 1000 Miglia race in 1950. An Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 S Cabriolet Turinga from 1942, one of the rarest vehicles of the coachbuilder, which was produced under the Italianized name according to the autarchic naming of the twenty years of the fascist regime, also awaits visitors at the stand of the Registry.
There are also many new additions related to the history and passion of the Motor Valley, such as the San Martino racing team and the San Martino Automobile Museum in Rio. Together they present a double stand, with two vehicles over a hundred years old and a surprise linked to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race (which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year).
Many car manufacturers
The area dedicated to car manufacturers offers the opportunity to admire new models and discover their origins: Construction philosophies, sports history and technological progress combine past and future, conveying the manufacturer's values and culture over time.
The common thread that continues to link the classic cars with the new models launched on the market is the participation of major brands, including: Alpine, BMW Motorrad, Bentley, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, FCA Heritage Gruppo Stellantis, McLaren, Mercedes Benz Italia, Toyota Motor Italia and Volvo Cars Italia.
In the heart of the "Motor Valley"
Emilia-Romagna is and was home to some of the most famous car and engine manufacturers. Auto e Moto d'Epoca will be a member of the non-profit association Motor Valley Development, which aims to bring together the major motorsport brands of the Emilia-Romagna region, as well as company museums, private collections, race tracks, driving schools and organizers of motorsport events around the same table.

Large vehicle and parts market
Auto e Moto d'Epoca is the largest vintage vehicle and spare parts market in Europe, able to satisfy almost every collector's and restorer's desire and where everyone can find the car, motorcycle or historic spare part they are looking for. The range of cars, motorcycles, spare parts, automobilia and memorabilia covers the entire horizon of the historic automobile and motorcycle world.
The car market ranges from unique models from the artisan coachbuilders of the 1930s to promising youngtimers. The spare parts section offers a complete overview of 'new original parts from back then': from mechanics to electrical components and paperwork to the car radios of yesteryear.
The "department store"
A central area, a hub between the different halls, dedicated to the main companies specialized in the maintenance, restoration and technologies at the service of vintage cars and motorcycles. Among the products on offer: Gearboxes, exhausts, 3D printed parts based on original models and many products for maintenance and restoration.
Design, vintage, fashion and motor art
Vintage branded parts, accessories, watches, interior design, motor art and craft creations make the visit a stimulating experience. Auto e Moto d'Epoca is also a unique trade fair due to the quality and diversity of the exhibitors.
