USD 1.357 million (approx. EUR 1.211 million, CHF 1.218 million) was paid for the Nissan Skyline GT-R from the year 2000 in an online auction by Bonhams. A new record for this type of vehicle, the most expensive Nissan Skyline GT-R to date was auctioned some time ago for USD 577,500.
Of course, the Nissan Skyline with chassis number BNR34-400109 is not just any GT-R. In fact, the car was converted by Kaizo Industries and given a Kaizo chassis number 1K1AAWDD77K400109.
The modifications were extensive and the car was used in the film "Fast and Furious 4", launched in 2009 and starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Paul Walker was at the wheel.
The GT-R was one of three cars that played a major role in the movie. Paul Walker chose the configuration himself. Changes included the engine, chassis, wheels, brakes, interior components, exhaust system and much more. The modified engine produced around 550 hp.
The OMP seat remained in the exact position in which it was set during the filming of Paul Walker.
In 2012, the car was exported to Europe, but it was never redeemed and only covered a few kilometers. It was shown at Motorworld Munich, among other places.
