The first World Meeting of Friends of the Citroën 2CV, also affectionately known as the "Duck", took place in Finland in 1975. The event was then held every two years, each time in a different host country. At the first 10 meetings, the decision on the location of the next meeting was based on the votes of the participants. Each car had the right to one vote.
From the 11th meeting onwards, the election then took place four years before the event. Each country represented was entitled to 2 votes, regardless of the number of vehicles taking part.
To date, 23 world meetings have been held:

2023 in Switzerland
The 24th World Meeting will take place in Switzerland, more precisely in the Delémont area, from July 25 to 30, 2023. The center of the meeting is located in a beautiful natural setting between the municipalities of Courroux, Courrendlin and Val-Terbi. It is located 5 minutes from the city of Delémont, the capital of the Jura. Ideally, this place is located almost exactly in the heart of Europe, which limits the travel time of the participants to the destination, e.g. 30 minutes from Basel or 45 minutes from Belfort.
The program is varied and includes concerts, beauty contests, competitions and much more. There is also a flea and parts market. There will also be plenty of catering options.
Further information can be found on the website of the world meeting.
