The organizers of the first three successful editions of the Concours of Elegance - at Windsor Castle in 2012, St James's Palace in 2013 and Hampton Court Palace in 2014 - have announced the new royal venue and dates for 2015.
Exclusive Scotland tour for participants
With the permission of Her Majesty the Queen, the 2015 Concours of Elegance will take place at the Royal Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland, from September 4-6.
The beauty contest will be preceded by an exclusive tour of Scotland for participants in the Concours from September 2 to 3, 2015, which will also take participants along the famous Royal Mile.
Royal backdrop
Set against the backdrop of Arthur's Seat, the local mountain of the Scottish capital Edinburgh, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is an extraordinary backdrop for such an event. The fact that it is located at the end of Edinburgh's world-famous Royal Mile and is the official residence of the Queen also makes the meeting a very special experience.
Something very special
It is the first time that such an event has been held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Concours of Elegance is also the only event in the UK to enjoy such a setting, making it something very special. Motoring enthusiast Prince Michael of Kent, who is a patron of the event, will also be attending the Concours of Elegance 2015.
Rarities from all over the world
As in previous years, 60 of the rarest vehicles from around the world, many of which have never been seen in the UK, will be part of the Concours of Elegance in Edinburgh. Accompanying these 60 gems will be hundreds of other beautiful cars from the UK's most prestigious car manufacturers and clubs. The latter will, of course, be competing for the highly coveted Club Trophy.
Not a traditional Concours
The Concours of Elegance, which takes place every year, differs from other traditional concours, where a jury selects the most beautiful vehicle according to certain criteria, not only because of its royal setting. Here, every car invited to take part in the Concours is a winner and every car owner chooses the Concours vehicle that they consider to be the most beautiful and elegant.
Fundraising campaign
A major aim of the event is to successfully raise funds so that a number of charities can benefit next year.
Open to the public on September 5 and 6
Anyone who would like to feel the atmosphere at the Royal Palace in Edinburgh and view and enjoy the shiny and dressed-up automotive gems can do so on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, 2015. However, tickets must be purchased in advance. These will soon be available for purchase on the Concours of Elegance website.
