The "Bosch Hockenheim Historic" invites you to an event of superlatives. Ten racing series will start on the Grand Prix circuit between April 21 and 23, 2017: older and newer monoposti, touring and sports cars. Visitors will be up close and personal and will even be welcomed into the pits. The organizers and the teams do their utmost to spread the charm of history and take the spectators back years in time.
Ten series
With a family atmosphere and a great supporting program, the Bosch Hockenheim Historic - the Jim Clark Revival - once again invites you to a racing spectacle at the Hockenheimring this year. A total of ten racing series will be on the road at the Hockenheimring, with participants from all over Europe and a wide range of vehicles.
Big Open Single Seater GP
The BOSS GP (Big Open Single Seater), an FIA-certified historic championship, kicks off a new season in Hockenheim with a spectacular race. High-horsepower IndyCar, GP2 and Formula 1 cars from the past take part in this series - so it's a good idea to bring earplugs.
CanAm Challenge Cup
A thunderous highlight is the Canadian-American Challenge Cup, in which cult cars such as the McLaren M8, the Porsche 917 and the Lola T310 are on the grid. From 1966 to 1974, practically everything was allowed in the CamAm cars, so it's hard not to be amazed.
Touring cars and monoposti
Tradition meets modernity in the "Special Touring Car Trophy H&R Cup", touring cars from before 1990 compete for victory in the "Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge" and monoposti from 1971 to 1984 start in the "HRA Classic Formula 3".
Jim Clark Revival
Another fixture in the program is the Lotus Cup Europe, which commemorates Jim Clark, the two-time Formula 1 world champion who was killed in an accident at the Hockenheimring in 1968.
Presentation drives
The members of Raceclub Germany also take to the racetrack in their historic Prezions for moderate presentation drives. Although the pace is somewhat slower, the vehicles from all eras are definitely a feast for the eyes.
And much more
The spectators will be offered a lot around the races on April 21-23, 2017 - a special "Scuderia Serenissima" exhibition with vehicles that hardly anyone knows is part of the supporting program, Maserati and Porsche will exhibit historic racing cars and the Jim Clark special exhibition will take place in the congress pavilion.
Every car enthusiast should have seen the "Brand Club Area". The meeting point for clubs, regulars' tables and interest groups encourages exciting petrolhead discussions. This year, for the first time, there will also be an old and youngtimer sales market for complete vehicles and the funfair on the pit roof will also celebrate its premiere.
