The Bonhams Auction on Sunday has been a tradition at the Goodwood Members' Meeting for several years now. On April 19, 2026, 77 cars and lots of memorabilia will go under the hammer.
The value of the vehicles has been estimated at around £5.3 million, 31% will be sold without a reserve price.
British dominated offer
With 14 Jaguars, seven Land Rovers, six Bentleys and five Morgans, the selection at the Members' Meeting is heavily weighted towards British brands. Only Porsche is also represented with five cars, Lamborghini with three and BMW, Maserati and Renault with two vehicles each.
On average, the vehicles are almost 66 years old, with 15 of them dating back to the pre-war period (including two Renaults built before 1911) and just four built after 2006.
Five E-Types
The selection of Jaguar E-Type variants is extensive.
A flat-floor coupé from 1961 is offered for £ 90,000 to £ 130,000. Another 3.8-liter coupé from 1962 for £ 60,000 to £ 70,000.
In addition, there are three V12 roadsters built between 1973 and 1974 as well as three open XKs and several saloons from Jaguar's history.
Some super classics
In addition to the British classics, there are also some all-time favorites from the mainland on sale.
Examples include a Maserati Sebing from 1966 and a Maserati Khamsin from 1982.
BMW offers a 3.0 CSL from 1973 for auction, estimated at £ 50'000 to 60'000.
A Porsche 356A 1600 T2 from 1958 is one of five Zuffenhausen products on offer, which also includes two 2.2-liter 911s, a 996 and an A111 tractor.
A single Ferrari 348 tb from 1990 represents the brand from Maranello, estimated at £ 50,000 to £ 70,000.
The brand with the star is represented by a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL from 1970 for £ 50,000 to £ 70,000.
Rarities
There will certainly be no shortage of rare and special vehicles in Chichester on April 19, 2026.
Only 26 Morgan Plus 4 Plus Coupés with plastic bodywork were built in the mid-sixties, two of which can be bought at Bonhams.
Even rarer is the Allard Palm Beach from 1954, which can be found in the catalog with a six-cylinder engine.
The Jensen C-V8 Convertible from 1964, which was created on a private initiative in an elaborate manner and looks particularly harmonious with the top down, is actually a one-off.
Another rarity is the 1970 Volkswagen Beach Buggy, which looks very tasty with its Meyers Manx bodywork and has already won prizes. The estimated value of £10,000 to £12,000 for the right-hand drive fun vehicle seems almost a little low.
The sought-after Ford Escort RS1600 is also rarely offered. John Fitzpatrick's works car from 1971 in Group 2 trim is expected to cost £ 150,000 to £ 200,000.
Bonhams' offer at the Goodwood Members' Meeting 2026 is diverse, and it will be interesting to see how motivated the bidders will be on April 19, 2026.
Further information and many photos of the vehicles can be found on the Bonhams website.
