Preview (beginning of the article)
Bonhams completed the triple at the Goodwood Members Meeting. The auctions at the Festival of Speed and Revival were joined on March 21, 2015 by the Members Meeting auction with 67 cars, including racing cars with a long history. The total value of the vehicles on offer amounted to around £6.5 million, and the sales result reached £4.2 million (CHF 6.14 million, Euro 5.8 million) with around 3/4 of the cars sold. The flagship of the auction was the 1959 Frazer Nash Le Mans Coupé, which took part in the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car, only nine such coupés were built, did not quite live up to expectations. Estimated at £ 550,000 to £ 650,000, the car was sold for £ 450,000.
