From May 20 to 21, 2023, around 100 youngtimers and classic cars will take part in the second Belmot RAID Suisse, which runs from Grenchen to Biel. Vehicles built up to 2003 are eligible, so cars of almost any vintage are welcome. There are three categories - Veterans (up to 1939), Classic (1945-1993) and Youngtimer (1994-2004). There is also an "OpenRAID" category with no classification.
There are special classifications for teams, ladies and "Young Raiders".
Unusual starting location
For the first time, a RAID will start at an airfield: Grenchen Airport, the third-largest airfield in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva (Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is located on French territory). In this unique environment, automotive culture meets the culture of aviation. The oldest cars of the Belmot RAID Suisse are parked in front of vintage airplanes! And for all RAID cars, this airport, which is easily accessible from all parts of Switzerland via the highway, offers a unique backdrop.
Roads and landscapes like back then
You will discover a Western Switzerland with fewer construction sites, drive through landscapes that are not walled up and through villages and areas with romantic names such as 'Le milieu du monde', spend the night in the comfortable Hotel Mövenpick in Lausanne-Ouchy, directly on the lake. Park your car in the underground parking garage next to the hotel.
Finish in Biel/Bienne
After two exciting rally days, you reach the finish: the Place Publique in the Tissot Arena in Biel/Bienne. Modern, spacious and right next to the highway. This is where the awards ceremony will take place - and then, au revoir to the next RAID Suisse 2024!
You canregister now, with or without a hotel. Young Raiders receive a discount. The registration deadline is April 15, 2023, and early registration is recommended.
