As part of the historic Racing Festival in Lignières, an auction will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 6 pm - directly on the race track!
The list of vehicles includes some interesting cars from Alfa Romeo, BMW, Bugatti, Ford, MG, Lancia, Porsche, Renault Alpine, Sunbeam and Triumph to TVR and Volkswagen.
The vehicles can be viewed from Friday, 15.8.2014, 12 noon in Lignières. Consignments will be accepted until 1 hour before the auction (Saturday, August 16, 2014, 5 pm).
With racing surroundings
The setting could not be more beautiful. This coming weekend, around 300 drivers will be competing in Lignières with historic racing cars and motorcycles. However, the historic racing festival also has plenty to offer off the track - from the car, motorcycle and parts market on the green meadow to the auction on Saturday evening.
Attractive vehicles
A look at the auction list reveals precious automotive gems such as the Aero 30 Special Sport (1930), the Aston Martin 15/98 (1937), the Bugatti 35C (1926), a beautiful Citroën DS Cabriolet by Chapron (1965), the BMW 315 (1934) and the BMW 3200 CS Bertone (1964), a Lancia Fulvia rally car (1971), a Ford Mustang Convertible (1966) and the Mustang Fastback Shelby (1965), two Jaguar E-Types (Coupe 1965 and V12 Convertible 1975), sports and racing cars such as the Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super (1977), two Renault Alpine A310s, the last genuine MG ZT-T 260 V8, a Porsche 968 Cabriolet (1994), a Sunbeam Alpine, but also one-offs such as the converted VW Käcabriolet (Cox), or a Gilera Saturno 500 from 1950, to name but a few.
Auction "à la Lignières"
Safety is a top priority on the circuit in Lignières. But everything else is a little simpler, a little less complicated than elsewhere. This also applies to the auction on Saturday evening. Vehicles, motorcycles and automobilia can be consigned up to 1 hour before the start of the auction. The buyer pays a 10% surcharge on the hammer price.
The auction itself begins on Saturday, from 6.30 pm, directly on the race track. The grandstand will be open for bidders and spectators from 6.00 pm. Admission is free of charge.
Bidders can register directly on site in Lignières (in the RT Auctions tent, where the auction vehicles will also be on display) from 12 noon on Friday, 15.8.2014.
