Summary
Bonhams auctioned 147 automobiles for over six hours at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 6, 2014. The Ferrari 275 GTB/4, the Bugatti 35B and the Delage D6 3 Litre lived up to expectations and helped to raise the overall result of the vehicle auction to around EUR 17 million or CHF 20 million. However, the big surprises came from other offers, such as a Porsche 911 Speedster and a Facel Vega barn find. This report provides insights into the auction on February 6, 2014, looks at individual bids and shows the results in detail, illustrated with almost 150 pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
As in the previous year, Bonhams also resided in the Grand Palais on Avenue Winston Churchill in Paris in 2014. Where many years ago the new cars of the Paris Motor Show were offered to interested buyers, Bonhams held an auction of automobilia, motorcycles and cars on February 6, 2014. And it was an event that also demanded a lot from visitors. The auction catalog, for example, ran to over 450 pages. 150 automobiles, 45 motorcycles and 147 cars went under the hammer. Anyone who wanted to follow the entire auction sat in the Grand Palais for over 12 hours, and the auction of the cars alone lasted over six hours. A real marathon.
