On July 22, 2014, it will be that time again. At the "Indianapolis in Oerlikon", historic racing cars with two, three or four wheels will be roaring around the time-honored velodrome in the north of Zurich for the 12th time in a row. In the event of bad weather, the presentation will be postponed to the following Thursday.
Racing cars on the velodrome
This classic car event has enjoyed great interest for years, as spectators rarely get this close to the old cars.
In groups of five to ten vehicles, the racing cars from different eras are let out onto the oval racetrack, which is characterized by four banked curves, and show off their talent for a long time.
Topolinos and Trabants on the oval
On August 5, 2014, Topolino and Trabant owners will also be showcasing their historic vehicles of Italian and East German design.
Further information can be found on the racetrack website.
We have reported extensively on previous events, for example in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010.
