The ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2017 offers driving fun on historic roads for over 50 vehicles on attractive routes, with interesting destinations and exciting tasks. A relaxed automotive search for traces in the capital Berlin and the surrounding area.
After a successful start last year, the ADAC Youngtimer Tour will be returning to Berlin in 2017. From October 6 to 8, more than 50 young classics will be on the road in the capital: the minimum age for participation is 20 years. Two days of driving fun await the classic cars of tomorrow and their crews with extensive tours through Berlin and the surrounding areas of the metropolis. Culture, culinary delights, history and exciting tasks along the way make the route a varied time travel for man and machine.
The start and finish of the ADAC Youngtimer Tour 2017 is once again the classic car trade fair "Motorworld Classics Berlin". The "look and feel" of the good old days runs like a red thread through the historic halls of the trade fair, which provides the perfect backdrop for this. The "young guns" of the ADAC Youngtimer Tour perfectly complement the trade fair under Berlin's famous radio tower with their attractive collector's items. From stately Rolls-Royces and sporty compact cars such as the VW Golf to Far Eastern Mitsubishi exotics, the field of participants is a museum on wheels. Over the two days of the tour, the budding classics will be put through their paces. This year's route leads along romantic avenues and winding back roads all the way to Poland: the program includes a trip to the historic Cistercian abbey of Cedynia in the neighbouring country.
Youngtimer technology has its very own charms. This is demonstrated not only by the vehicles of the participants in the ADAC Youngtimer Tour, but also by two of the destinations along the route. In the Niederfinow boat lift, you can marvel at the high-tech of yesteryear, and the Finowfurt Aviation Museum gives enthusiastic drivers an insight into the supersonic heritage of the former Soviet airfield. Despite all the nostalgia and enthusiasm for old technology, the teams behind the wheel and in the passenger seat rely on modern equipment when it comes to finding their way. The Motocompano app shows the teams the way, because the co-drivers should also experience the flair of the capital up close without having to look in the road book.
The ADAC Youngtimer Tour avoids stress and hecticness right from the start. The route offers the participants and their vehicles from the 80s and 90s a balanced mixture of regularity and the relaxed enjoyment of cultural highlights, supplemented by a few challenges to the teams' skills. The focus is on having fun in the group. The ADAC Youngtimer Tour will once again offer driving fun for young-at-heart cars and their drivers in 2017.
