Around 70 years ago, Dutch VW importer Ben Pon came across a strange transport vehicle at the Wolfsburg plant - the Plattenwagen. He then sketched the VW Transporter. In memory of this idea, Volkswagen presented the special model "70 Years of the Bulli" at the Geneva Motor Show.
The special model is based on the Miltivan Comfortline and is composed of various elements from the Multivan Highline and the California. A "Bulli" badge and an anniversary sticker on the rear window serve as a distinguishing feature.
The two-tone paint finish in candy white and turmeric yellow metallic is particularly striking and is reminiscent of the classic design of a Bulli. But the new, modern Volkswagen I.D. Buzz, which could be seen at the Geneva Motor Show, also adopts the iconic paintwork.
Further information on the anniversary model can be found on the VW website.
