Together with around 150,000 fans and enthusiasts, Alpine celebrated the brand's 70th anniversary last weekend. From May 30 to June 1, 2025, Dieppe, the hometown of Alpine founder Jean Rédélé, was transformed into a huge celebration of the sports car brand.
More than 1700 Alpine models from the past and present gathered on the lawns along the beach promenade. One of the highlights was the new A390, the second model in Alpine's all-electric Dream Garage. The five-seater Sport Fastback was unveiled a few days earlier and presented to the public for the first time during the anniversary weekend.
The A390 then drove through the streets of Dieppe before joining the 700 Alpine vehicles that had gathered on the former Dieppe/St-Aubin racetrack for a historic seven-kilometer parade.
The A110 R 70 anniversary model, the A110 GTS and the A110 Ultime from the A110 model series were also on display in Dieppe, as was the A290, which was named "Car of the Year 2025" at the beginning of the year. Visitors were also able to admire the Alpenglow Hy6 prototype with turbo V6 hydrogen engine in action on the streets of the city center.
"The gathering to celebrate the 70th anniversary illustrates the passion for Alpine and the extraordinary connection to a unique heritage that continues today and looks to the future," said Alpine CEO Philippe Krief.
A new Alpine logo for the birthday
To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Alpine has designed a special brand logo. While the colors blue, white and red underline the origins of the French brand, which was founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé in Dieppe, the classic A-arrow is extended by the number 70: a sign of a brand rooted in its past but looking to the future. The red target in the center of the wheel, another automotive symbol, stands for the challenges the brand will face over the next 70 years.
P.S. The Alpine riders traveled a long way, some of them from Switzerland like Felix Ofner, who was even interviewed by French television.
