For more than three decades, it has been a fixture in the calendar of the Swiss classic car scene: the Historic Traffic Show at EKZ Rheinpark. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the popular event will celebrate its 25th edition - an anniversary that attracts collectors, drivers and classic car enthusiasts from Switzerland and abroad.
A rolling museum in the open air
Well over 1,000 vehicles from a wide range of eras are expected - from pre-war and post-war models to icons from the 50s to 70s and automotive classics from the 80s and 90s. The exhibition is complemented by motorcycles and historic commercial vehicles. Participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland make the traffic show at the border triangle an international meeting place for enthusiasts.
Parts flea market - a treasure trove for collectors
The classic car parts market is an integral part of the program. Here, mechanics and collectors can find rare spare parts, accessories and specialist literature - a paradise for all those who keep historic technology alive.
Enthusiasm for the next generation
The organizers attach great importance to passing on the fascination of classic cars to the younger generation. Young people under the age of 18 and participants with "youngtimers" enjoy free admission. This means that the motor show is not just a look back into history, but also a step into the future of the scene.
Wheels that move the world
The roots of the event go back to 1994, when the "Alte Garage" was established in the historic SBB goods shed at the port of Rorschach. After moving to Altenrhein Airport and collaborating with the Aviation Museum, the traffic show finally found its home in the Rheinpark shopping center. Under the motto "Wheels that move the world", it has been a permanent fixture in Swiss classic car culture ever since.
