For the first time, RM Sotheby's organized an auction in the beautiful and popular city of Milan. On May 22, 2025, 38 automobiles worth over EUR 35 million went under the hammer at the Fonderia Macchi Carl near the city center. With an average value of over EUR 900,000, exclusivity was guaranteed. 17 cars (45%) were sold, while the bids for the remaining 21 were not sufficient for an immediate knockdown. With only three cars offered without a reserve price, this was at least partially foreseeable. On average, the cars were a good 47 years old and they all came from Europe. Seven Porsche, five Ferrari, five Mercedes-Benz, four Aston Martin and three Lamborghini made up a good two thirds of the cars on offer, while more exotic brands such as Cisitalia, Facel Vega and Autobianchi were each represented by one car.
