Summary
Certainly, for lovers of shiny classics and beauty contests, the Neandertal Sculpture Park is more than just a challenge. On display are disintegrating automobiles and other means of transportation, albeit in the form of an art installation. You can't buy anything here, but you can look at it. And it really gets you philosophizing. This report takes you through the park and shows many of the exhibits in pictures.

This report is about a special open-air museum that may be perceived as polarizing. Admittedly: For those who can only imagine classic cars in "showroom condition" or even expect a Concours d'Élegance here, the car sculpture park in Neandertal near Düsseldorf is unlikely to be an option. One or two readers will no doubt have already read illustrated books about forgotten car graveyards, "lost places", "sleeping beauties" etc. or remember the "Baillon Collection" at the Rétromobile 2015 in Paris, i.e. they will already have come to terms with the final stage of our rolling cultural heritage.
