Artcurial Monaco 2021 - a white knight and an expensive Fiat Fiorino in Monte Carlo
Summary
121 vehicles, all cars with the exception of four motorcycles, were auctioned off by Artcurial in glamorous Monaco on July 19, 2021. The estimate was over EUR 20 million, but only just over half of the vehicles were sold. And because many of the more expensive cars were not included, only around EUR 6.4 million was generated. While the 300 SL and RSR declined, a Fiat Fiorino probably set a new record for this vehicle type. However, the star of the auction was rightly a white Lamborghini Miura. This auction report analyzes the results and shows the vehicles in pictures.

125 vehicles were registered, 121 finally went under the hammer in front of a live audience in Monaco when Artcurial welcomed the classic and vintage car enthusiasts on site and on screen a few minutes after 4 p.m. on July 19, 2021. The total value of the vehicles, including four motorcycles, had been estimated at over EUR 21 million, but first a few racing overalls, helmets and automobilia were auctioned off at quite respectable prices. Then it was the turn of the vehicles and the auction, led by Matthieu Lamoure, picked up speed. The first lots were sold without any problems, but when higher bids were required, the momentum stalled somewhat. Nevertheless, expensive cars were also sold in the first half of the auction, and it was only from the second half onwards that the decree was "not sold" for long stretches. It didn't help that the auctioneer had to remind visitors to wear masks after being asked to do so by the hotel.
