They have often taken part, but have never finished at the top: Peter and Christian Krieglsteiner left two Gaisberg winners, Hermann Wallner and Otmar Wacek, behind them at the 2010 Gaisberg race and took their first victory in the cult classic car race. In the lead from day one, they never relinquished it despite changing weather conditions.
And winning on the Gaisberg is not easy, as a quick look at the running times, for example, on the last run up the Gaisberg on Sunday shows: The first three cars were separated by just one hundredth of a second at the end, the first six classics by five hundredths! The Gaisberg victory is becoming more and more contested.
Tens of thousands joined in the excitement
The race with more than 170 classic cars was also exciting for the spectators: despite the April weather, tens of thousands were there again in 2010 - not only at the popular City Grand Prix, but also on the Gaisberg and on the Salzburgring. The three days of Gaisberg racing last weekend were once again a very special and varied racing experience for drivers and visitors alike.
