The Fiat 850 Coupé is not a bestseller in Italy, but it is abroad. In 1967, the Italians bought around 163,000 850 saloons and 20,000 coupés, while 14,575 saloons and 8,198 coupés were registered in Germany. Now, however, all the conditions are in place for the number of people interested in the Coupé to increase considerably, because the pseudo-sporty 'housewife Ferrari' has become a genuine small sports car that clearly outstrips the sedate mid-range saloon class. Sporty young people will appreciate this, especially as the sports coupé has remained a price hit in its performance class despite considerable performance improvements and exciting equipment.
