With the Sportprinz, NSU offered its fun-loving clientele a pretty little coupé which, thanks to its short-stroke two-cylinder engine and crisp gear ratios, was in no way left behind by more lavishly powered cars. The body designed by Bertone, together with the meticulous workmanship and good comfort, ensured a harmonious overall appearance. However, the royal offspring was not quite king... A snappy Bertone body and an extremely splendid engine, that is the impression of the Sportprinzen. Anyone who only knows this little sports car in passing will think that the synthesis of car and engine is not quite one hundred percent successful, but anyone who really knows it in its final version will disagree. The NSU-Sportprinz is made of one piece, and therefore worth its price, even if it is quite high for a six-hundred. This is probably the main point after opinions were voiced that blurred the true image of the Sportprinz. To be honest, I have to confess that after everything I had heard and read about the Sportprinzen, I was not particularly enthusiastic about the test and it took me quite some time to get to grips with the Sportprinzen, because the test started right away on the highway.
