"Lancia Delta Integrale", when you say it, it sounds like music. And wonderfully Italian. And hardly anyone can imagine nothing under this name, because from 1987 to 1992 the Delta was the measure of all things in the World Rally Championship and almost unbeatable. The Lancia Delta was officially launched as early as 1979. Its technology was partly based on the Fiat Ritmo, but visually it bore a completely different signature, as Giorgetto Giugiaro had designed the lines and based them on the Maserati Medici concept car. The Delta was angular and was one of the very first road cars to feature painted bumpers. The Lancia Delta received a lot of recognition as the car of the year in 1980, but at that time it still lacked sporting ambitions.
