Hot looks - Alfa Romeo Alfasud ti (historical test)
Summary
With the two-door Alfa Romeo Alfasud ti, the brand with the cloverleaf ignited the first performance stage, after the four-door Berlina had been criticized from time to time for a certain lack of horsepower. Although the increase in power was limited to just five hp, these were nicely decorated with lots of sporty accessories and made the "ti" a real fun car, according to the writers of the Austrian Auto Revue. This article reproduces the original wording of the test report at the time and shows the Alfasud ti in historical pictures.

The Alfasud ti represents the second wave from the Alfa branch in Mezzogiorno and offers - with the exception of engine performance - the proverbial Alfa image. At the presentation of the Alfasud ti, we were pleasantly surprised: after two years, there is finally a "brew" that does away with some of the criticisms of the predecessor model - the ti's looks alone stamp its tamer brother as a crisis model. Nevertheless, the new model disappoints the super sports enthusiasts among Alfa fans: the engine output has only been increased by five hp, a ludicrously low figure when you realize the hidden horsepower that still lies dormant in the modern four-cylinder engine.
