At the Pininfarina stand at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, a unique concept car steals the show from the new "Sergio" study. The low-slung Dino 206 Berlinetta Speciale from 1965 looks strangely familiar to many visitors to the show, even if they have never seen the study or have long since forgotten it. This is because the Speciale is the design predecessor of both the Fiat Dino Spider (front-engined) from 1966 and the Dino 206 GT (mid-engined) from 1968. Despite the Ferrari engine, all cars do without the emblem with the prancing horse. The Dino story begins in 1955, when Enzo Ferrari's son Alfredo alias Alfredino (short form: Dino) provides the impetus for the construction of a V6 engine to compete in Formula 1 and 2 and in sports car races.
