Thanks to a "wanted ad" on Zwischengas, a prototype, built on a Fiat 1100 chassis, found its way back to the original owner family. The unique car will be completely restored over the next few years. This report portrays the barn find and tells the story up to the present day.

On March 13, 2012, the following "wanted ad " was published on Zwischengas : "We are looking for the MEB (Meister-Eigenbau) from 1961. This Fiat-based sports car was built between 1959 and 1961 at the Meister garage in Lenzerheide. According to notes, it is assumed that the vehicle was (probably) presented with the new bodywork in Chur in April 1961. The "Meister" is based on a Fiat 1100 chassis built before 1953. The engine comes from the car crashed by Pastor Giulio Bondolfi in Lenzerheide. According to existing notes, this 1,200 cm3 engine had two carburetors (presumably retrofitted); originally it had been equipped with a Weber double downdraft carburetor.
