The fifth edition of the BMW three-series (E90) was a great success with over three million units built. An evolutionary model called the 320si, limited to 2600 vehicles, was created for racing, which then also formed the basis for two championship titles in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). The E90 series was already the fifth edition of the BMW three-series. Between 2005 and 2012, just over three million units were produced as saloons, estate cars (Touring), coupés and convertibles. They were equipped with four, six and eight-cylinder engines (M3). In order to be successful in racing, a particularly rare evolutionary vehicle was created: the 320si. The 320si was announced in November 2005, soon after the introduction of the E90. There were few differences on the outside and the Evo-E90 also remained close to the series inside. The special model, limited to 2600 units, differed most under the hood.
