Summary
In the early 1970s, German car manufacturers initially left the small car business to the French, British and Italians. But then the Audi 50, the first German Mini, appeared. This driving report is about a late Audi 50 GLS. However, it tells the whole story of the Audi 50, including many photos, sales brochure and sound samples.

The fact that a completely new model could be developed in just three years, with a new engine to boot, was a source of admiration for the hard-working car developers at the time.
