Summary
While in the mid-fifties the last English manufacturers were also saying goodbye to the design language of the thirties, Morgan stubbornly stuck to free-standing mudguards and running boards. However, the drive was allowed to move with the times. This was a good thing, as it resulted in one of the most impressive sports cars of the post-war era. This article summarizes the evolution of the Plus 4 and describes the driving impressions from the cockpit of a 1956 model with a Triumph engine.

With airbags, ABS, headrests and LED headlights, a modern Morgan has about as much to do with the 1930s as a DAB+ radio in a wooden cabinet. So it's fitting that the Plus Six, which has been available since 2019, is still available with automatic transmission.
