Background information on the FHR
The Fahrgemeinschaft historischer Rennsport (FHR) was founded in Haiger in 1983 by dedicated motorsport enthusiasts and sees itself as a representative of active participants in races with historic vehicles, from GT and touring cars to prototypes and pre-war cars or Formula Vee or 3000 cars.
Its preamble "By drivers for drivers" is also reflected in the work of the association. The FHR is just as committed to a stable and fair set of rules as it is to representing the interests of teams and drivers vis-à-vis motorsport authorities, race tracks and event organizers. Spectators should be able to view the historic vehicles where they should be, namely on the race track.
Today, the majority of active (racing) drivers of historic automobiles belong to the FHR, which currently has around 700 members. Since 30 November 2000, the FHR has been organized under the umbrella of the ADAC Nordrhein. It is also represented by its board members in the important committees of the German Motorsport Federation, the ADAC, associations and event organizers.
Racing series are organized under the auspices of the FHR, which are held in accordance with Appendix K of the FIA International Motor Sport Regulations. This defines the basic principles that guarantee a fair race and do not turn a historic racing car into a modern one. The vehicles should be preserved in their original form and technology.
FHR racing series
The FHR currently organizes six racing series:
- FHR Endurance Cup
- HTGT for the Dunlop Trophy
- AGDT - A Gentle Drivers Trophy
- 100 Miles Trophy
- Historic Racecar Association
- Formula Vau and Super Vau
FHR Endurance Cup

The Cup is an endurance race for GTs, touring cars and two-seater racing sports cars (built between 1947 and 1975) in accordance with FIA Appendix K. Each race lasts between two and four hours.
HTGT for the Dunlop Trophy

The Trophy is the oldest racing series in Germany and is a 60-minute sprint race for GTs, touring cars and two-seater racing sports cars (built between 1947 and 1971) in accordance with FIA Appendix K.
A Gentle Drivers Trophy

The Trophy is a sprint race of 2x 30 minutes for Grand Turismo and two-seater racing sports cars (built between 1947 and 1961) in accordance with FIA Appendix K.
100 Mile Trophy

This trophy includes sprint races of up to 60 minutes for Gts touring cars and two-seater racing sports cars built between 1972 and 1981 in accordance with FIA Appendix K.
In addition to four championship races, 2 DTM races will take place
Formula Vau and Super Vau

How can affordable motorsport be made possible with monoposto racing cars? The answer to this question, which first came out in favor of VW technology in the USA, was Formula Vau.
The formula cars are divided into different classes and race for at least 20 minutes.
Historic Racecar Association

The racing cars of the "Historic Racecar Association" all have something in common: four wheels and only one seat. The "German Open" is the playground for smaller formula classes, from Formula Junior to Formula 1.
