The Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2014 trade fair opens on October 23: 13 major car manufacturers, over 2000 exhibitors and 4000 vehicles at the Padua Motor Show, "bringing together the past and present of the car to understand the trends of the future".
The most important trade fair in Europe for many exhibits the latest cars and historic models. Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2014 opens with record numbers: 13 major car manufacturers, a total of over 2000 exhibitors, 4000 classic cars on sale and hundreds exhibited by clubs and major brands. If you want to buy, there is almost no way around Padua.
The marketplace of superlatives
"The Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2014 trade fair is probably the largest international market for historic vehicles and the only trade fair in Italy where foreign dealers sell their cars. Dealers from Portugal, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Holland and Germany will bring the best of their collections.
From models such as the Alfa Spider for 10,000 euros to the Mercedes 300 SL Coupé Gullwings worth millions. Remember: Auto e Moto d'Epoca is a passion that doesn't require you to be a billionaire. The most important thing is to find your favorite model, because it will be the most beautiful of all," says Baccaglini and he continues: "What we like here is the buyer-to-buyer contact that characterizes the fair."
According to the trade fair organization, 40% of the 4000 cars exhibited were sold in 2013. "That's why Auto e Moto d'Epoca is unique: it's the ideal place to sell classic cars and to find the car that's made for you," comments Mario Carlo Baccaglini.
Combining past and present
"This is why we are meeting between 23 and 26 October 2014" says Mario Carlo Baccaglini, organizer of Auto e Moto d'Epoca 2014 - "to unite the past and the present of the car and to find out the trends of the future".
Thanks to the growing interest of the younger generation and the increasing number of collectors, the fair is becoming a reference point for planning new models.
Thirteen major car manufacturers will be present, which proves that the interest in classic cars is growing more and more.
13 car manufacturers
Represented brands will be: Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Audi Sport Club Italia, BMW, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot, Porsche, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo and Tesla, along with the two Ferrari museums: Enzo di Modena and the Museo di Maranello.
"What the manufacturers offer is proof of their originality," says Baccaglini. "In a world where lines and models are increasingly similar, looking back means looking at a bygone era in which each model was immediately recognizable and more characteristic than all the others."
Anniversaries
Numerous historic car clubs will be present in 2014, and prestigious anniversaries will also be celebrated by Maserati, Porsche, Giulietta Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen Golf, Mustang and RAV 4.
There are not too many classic car events in October, but the show in Padua is an event not to be missed at the end of the year.
