The VW Bus Festival 2022, which was due to take place from July 15 to 17 at the Hanover exhibition grounds, has been postponed by a year. The reason for this is not, as so often in the last two years, the Covid pandemic, but the war in Ukraine. "We don't want to celebrate a festival when there is war in Europe and refugees are arriving in Hanover and need to be cared for," says Lars Krause, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Brand Board Member for Sales and Marketing, explaining the decision. Transporter fans, who have been looking forward to a new edition of the big bus meeting with 3500 VW vehicles since 2007, will only have to be patient for another year according to current planning. The expected replacement date is the weekend of July 23-25, 2023, with ticket sales set to begin this year.
