One of the most coveted sports cars of all time, the Ferrari F40, is being released as a LEGO building set for the first time. The building set will be available from August 1, 2015.
Lots of details
The LEGO building set of the cult Ferrari F40 sports car, which was produced from 1987 to 1992, guarantees cross-generational building fun. Just like the legendary original, the LEGO model fascinates with sleek, aerodynamic lines, a striking rear wing and the bright red racing body.
True-to-original interior
The opening doors of the car make it easy to see that the interior of the sports car is also modeled on the original. This ranges from door loops and a steering wheel with the Ferrari logo to two red racing bucket seats. The luggage compartment with the associated on-board tools is located under the hinged trunk lid. A special windshield element with imprinted A-pillars and tailor-made, cast wheel inserts with roadworthy tyres add the finishing touches to this meticulously recreated model.
Further features
The LEGO Ferrari consists of 1,158 elements, has a hinged tailgate with air outlets, a V8 engine with two turbochargers and quick-release function, folding headlights and side air intakes.
The LEGO Ferrari F40 is 8 cm high, 27 cm long and 14 cm wide. It costs CHF 99.99 in Switzerland and Euro 89.99 in Germany and will be available from August 1, 2015 at LEGO.com/shop and in all LEGO stores in Germany and Austria.
