Of course, new cars are also the center of interest at the 89th Geneva Motor Show. 70 exhibitors are presenting 100 world and European premieres, including the Piëch Mark Zero, a sports car with a sonorous and traditional name, a classic-looking body and state-of-the-art (electric) technology.
Lots of tradition
As has rarely been the case in recent years, however, automotive tradition also carries a lot of weight in Geneva. On the one hand, Bentley Motors will certainly be reviving its 100-year history with a highlight, while on the other, the Motorworld Group will be presenting classic cars in general.
The special "Abarth" exhibition in Hall 6 offers car enthusiasts a very special treat, showcasing part of Engelbert Möll's collection: "I am delighted that around twenty models will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show this year, not to mention the most important Abarth racing cars from the 1950s to the 1990s!" says André Hefti, Director General of the GIMS.
In Hall 3, there will once again be a special exhibition by Tag Heuer to marvel at. The watch manufacturer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Monaco in 2019. Visitors can discover this timepiece and its history, immerse themselves in the watchmaker's expertise and experience its involvement in motorsport first-hand through classic cars and racing simulators.
So classic car enthusiasts will have plenty to see at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, even if they are not necessarily looking for a new car.
