Until now, it has always been a car brand that has been honored at the Swiss Classic British Car Meeting in Morges, which traditionally takes place in autumn on Lake Geneva and attracts around 1500 cars and 20,000 spectators. But for this year's edition, organizer Keith Wynn has come up with something special. On October 1, 2016, British cars built just after the Second World War, i.e. between 1946 and 1949, will be honored. Of course, this invitation also includes motorcycles and passenger cars that left production between 1940 and 1945 are not to be excluded.
An attempt will be made to revive the spectrum of British makes from the past (see list) as an echo of the first exhibition after the Second World War, where these vehicles were on display at the 1948 London Earls Court Motor Show.
To help you get your bearings, Wynn gives us a list of the cars in question:

Keith Wynn would be delighted if owners who would like to travel to the event on October 1, 2016 with their post-war treasure could let him know in advance. Of course, Wynn is also hoping for word-of-mouth advertising so that as complete a selection as possible of these rare post-war vehicles (1940 to 1949) can be shown.
As usual, the riverside road will be open to all other British makes and models aged 20 years or more. For space reasons, modern Range Rovers, Land Rovers, Jaguars and New Minis less than 20 years old will not be admitted in 2016.
Admission to the Swiss Classic British Car Meeting is free for all participants and the public. Further information can be found on the event website.
