Captivating circuit races, impressive club meetings, a large Concours d'Elégance and much more are also on offer at this year's Classic Days in the picturesque park of Schloss Dyck from July 31 to August 2, 2015.
Demonstration runs on the circuit
Well-known at the "Racing Legends": A maximum of 80 vehicles are admitted to participate after strict selection. There are three classes up to 1961 (also younger in the monoposto class). Old racing cars as well as fast racing cars from the present day will take to the track. Racing and sports motorcycles built up to 1945 and sidecars built up to 1965 will also be on show.
The big club meeting in a suitable setting
On the large meadow - the "Classic Corner" - in front of the castle, a large part of the most colorful automobile garden party will also take place in 2015. Here you can experience part of the paddock of pre-war vehicles up close. The Benjafield Racing Club will be coming across the canal to Schloss Dyck with a large "expedition corps" of vintage Bentleys from the Cricklewood era.
Automotive cultural history on the museum island
The Concours d'Elégance at Schloss Dyck called "Jewels in the Park" has been an established format for many years. On the Orangerie peninsula, rare brands and incredibly beautiful, elegant or unique car bodies are presented in a high-quality kaleidoscope of automotive history. Contemporary clothing is always welcome.
Countless highlights and special features
Last year saw the introduction of the new "Stars & Stripes" area for American vehicles and all the trimmings, and this year you can also experience the "American way of life" at the Classic Days with rollergirls, jukeboxes and US cars from 1946 to 1965.
Since 2007, there has also been a special class called "Lovely Heroes", where vehicles from the post-war economic miracle era are presented in an exhibition.
"Made in Germany" is the name of another special exhibition, in which unusual advertising vehicles from all nations and with (almost) all products are on display.
The historic campsite near Neuss is also a source of delight every year. Under the name "Nostalgic Journey", around 20 vintage caravans built up to 1975 were brought together last year.
